BERTRAND’S MUSIC, KALA UKULELE BRAND, AND JIM D’VILLE HOST FREE UKULELE CIRCLE NIGHT FOR COMMUNITY
San Diego, CA February 22,2012 - Bertrand’s Music Ukulele Circle brought all ages and skill levels into their Penasquitos store for a night of playing music and good company. Over 60 attendees received some basic ukulele training and played several songs together as a group.
Jessica Duarte, Bertrand’s Music Operations Manager stated, “We hoped to have 25 but ended up with 60 people. This reminds us how much people want to play and learn music together and how popular ukulele is right now. We are looking to host more free events, like this one, at our store in the future.”
The free event was co-hosted by Kala Ukulele Brand (kalaukulele.com) and was lead by Ukulele player & instructor Jim D’ville. Kala and Bertrand’s Music gave away Ukulele Tuners, T-shirts, Stickers, and other prizes for those that made it out. From beginners to advanced players, all were welcome and ukuleles were provided for those that did not own one.
“We were so happy to see families and groups of friends come out to play Ukulele. We hope that everyone enjoyed the night and will want to continue playing and learning.” said Joel Bertrand
